This volume contains four Lamentations for the Holy Week by Sebastián Durón, master of the Royal Chapel of Madrid. They are preserved in the archive of the Real monasterio de El Escorial. These Lamentations are written for large ensembles, with instrumental and vocal choirs. As is proved in the introduction, the copist of these Lamentations is Manuel Gordojuela, a copist that worked for the Royal Chapel. |
